Hi, I’m Dawn.
Founder of Clear Path Bookkeeping.
I started Clear Path because I saw too many small business owners working incredibly hard without having clear reliable financial clarity they need to grow. When your books are messy or behind, it creates stress, uncertainty, and unnecessary tax risk.
I believe you deserve peace of mind. My goal is simple: to provide accurate, consistent, and insightful financial reporting so you can understand your numbers, make confident decisions, and avoid surprises at tax time.
A Note to the Overwhelmed:
If you feel behind or embarrassed about your finances, please know you do not need to “have it all together” before asking for help. I provide judgment-free bookkeeping support. My role isn’t to lecture you or confuse you with jargon, it is to be a trusted partner who brings structure, clarity, and calm to your business.
My Journey: From the Classroom to the Books
You might wonder how I developed my approach to numbers. It’s a blend of two different worlds:
The Technical Foundation: I earned my degree in Accounting and Tax Preparation from Kaplan University in 2007
The Heart of a Teacher: In 2011, I earned a degree in Elementary and Special Education from Western Governor’s University and spent years in the classroom. This is where I perfected my ability to make complex things simple, patient, and jargon-free.
The Entrepreneur’s Perspective: Ten years ago, I pivoted back to my accounting roots to manage the books for my husband’s successful contracting business. I know firsthand the heart, time, and sacrifice it takes to run a small business.
Behind the Scenes
When I’m not balancing ledgers, you can usually find me:
Spending time with my three “grown and flown” kids and my amazing grandchildren
Getting lost in a good book or indulging a slight obsession with true crime documentaries
Catering to Maggie, our 9-year-old Golden Retriever, who is incredibly peculiar and particular about absolutely everything…. except food
